Evergro Suplhur 90% is a high-purity, granular soil amendment containing 90% elemental sulphur by weight. It is primarily used to lower soil pH (increase soil acidity) and correct sulphur deficiencies in plants.

Because it is an elemental form of sulphur, plants cannot absorb it immediately. Instead, it relies on soil bacteria (Thiobacillus) to gradually convert the granules into plant-available sulfate. This biological breakdown creates a steady, slow-release effect that lasts over a long period.

This product is highly beneficial for acid-loving plants that require low-pH soils to optimize nutrient uptake: 
  • Blueberries
  • Rhododendrons and Azaleas
  • Hydrangeas (helps turn the flowers blue)
  • Camellias, Heather, and Hellebores
  • Heavy-feeding vegetable crops like oilseeds and legumes 

Application Instructions:
  • Standard Coverage Rate: A standard 2 kg box of Evergro Suplhur 90%covers 80 m² (860 sq. ft.).
  • Broadcast Rate: Apply evenly over the soil surface at a rate of 250 g per 10 m² (0.5 lb per 100 sq. ft.).
  • Application Depth: For new planting beds, work the granules uniformly into the topsoil to a depth of 15 cm (6 inches).
  • Established Plants: If applying around existing plants, scatter the granules evenly around the root zone, keeping  from directly touching stems or trunks. 

Strategic Best Practices
  • Timing: Apply in the early spring or fall. 
  • Water It In: Always irrigate thoroughly after application. Moisture causes the granules to disintegrate into fine particles, making them accessible to microbes. 
  • Be Patient: Significant changes to your soil pH will take 3 to 6 months to register. Do not expect instant results or over-apply out of frustration, as excessive buildup can burn roots or cause nutrient imbalances. 
  • Testing: Always complete a baseline soil test before applying and re-test every year to track changes before applying more.
